Longstowe History Society: Talk by Iona Robinson
Recent excavations near Whittlesey revealed the extraordinarily well-preserved remains of a Bronze Age pile-dwelling, built over an ancient river in the midst of the fens. Investigations revealed detailed information about life in this prehistoric settlement and about the dramatic circumstances of its demise.
