14 THE MINUTES OF LAST MEETING
Minutes of 15th June 2017 were agreed and signed.
15 REPORTS FROM COUNCILLORS AND PCSO
Cllr Bridget Smith reported on the current situation in CCC and SCDC; the City Deal; the Community Chest Grant.
Cllr Mark Howell introduced himself and offered his support and advice to the Parish Council.
16 MATTERS ARISING/TO REPORT FROM PREVIOUS MINUTES
a) The following have all been dealt with: the overgrowth of the hedge at the entrance/exit to the Church; the overgrowth of the hedge on the High Street footpath to the Village Hall; earth on the pavement from Middle Farm to St John’s House.
b) Also raised was the impact of planning applications S/1411/17/FL and S/1229/17/FL on the amenity of the neighbours: it was noted that the plans are inaccurate (they don’t show other buildings on the site); there were concerns about possible commercial use of the site. Cllr Bridget Smith to take up the case.
17 MEMBERS’ DECLARATION OF INTEREST FOR ITEMS ON THE AGENDA None received.
a) Community Action Suffolk: Zurich Municipal Insurance renewal: £594.82.
b) Internal audit completed. Accounts have been sent to the external auditor.
c) Clerk’s pay + expenses: £879.93; HMRC: £209.80.
19 TO CONSIDER PLANNING APPLICATIONS RECEIVED
a) S/1841/17/LD: 48 Old North Road (Dr Cottman): Lawful development certificate for existing use of dwelling (circulated with e-mail from Cllr Ben Holland). Letter to be sent to SCDC indicating concerns about groundwater run-off. Cllr Bridget Smith to take up the case.
20 TO CONSIDER OTHER MATTERS
a) Village Hall update: building work is continuing and money has been raised for the replacement of several windows and doors. Any further donations would be gratefully received.
21 CORRESPONDENCE RECEIVED
A list of correspondence received is printed in the Agenda which is placed on the notice boards and on the web page prior to the Parish Council meeting; details are available from the Clerk.
