Minutes of the Meeting held on Thursday 19th January 2017 at 7.15pm in Longstowe Village Hall

Also present: Cllr Sebastian Kindersley, Cllr Bridget Smith. It was reported that the street light on the corner of High Street / Park Lane is not working.

80 THE MINUTES OF LAST MEETING

Minutes of 15th December 2016 were agreed and signed.

81 REPORTS FROM COUNCILLORS AND PCSO

Cllr Bridget Smith reported that the Local Plan may be acceptable providing SCDC and Cambridge Plans are judged together. She also reported: Only 400 houses were built last year; Fly-tipping is becoming more common; Combined authority: elections for Mayor will be held in May; SCDC needs a new chief executive, £125,000pa; City Deal is now a shambles, and has a new chief executive; No congestion charge for City.
Cllr Sebastian Kindersley reported that road gritting was back to last year’s level; Street lights would not be turned off; Bassingbourn stays as Ministry site. He also suggested that volunteers from Longstowe might like to improve their village by litter-picking.

d) External Auditor PKF Littlejohn appointed, 2017–2018.

86 TO CONSIDER OTHER MATTERS

a) Village Hall update: waiting for a grant verdict.

b) Tree Health and Safety: no trees under Parish Council control.

88 SKYLARK – TO CONSIDER ANY EDITORIAL ISSUES Bourn Scout Group have sent a short article.
