91 THE MINUTES OF LAST MEETING

Minutes of Thursday 17th January 2019 were agreed and signed.

92 REPORTS FROM COUNCILLORS AND PCSO

Cllr Tumi Hawkins’ (SCDC) written report contained items on additional charge for a second green bin; a planning workshop for Bourn Airfield; the Cambourne to Cambridge Busway (phase 2) and the Strategic Bus Review by the Combined Authority; the East–West Rail Link (Varsity Line); the Business Plan and Budget; and Community Events.

Cllr Mark Howell’s (CCC) written report contained items on 5 County Farms looking for tenants; the Innovate and Cultivate Fund for innovative ideas to support local communities; Safeguarding Awareness Month (Feb); Foster Carer recruitment; a new local service: Business & IP (Intellectual Property) Centre; and Bus services across the county.

93 MATTERS ARISING/TO REPORT FROM PREVIOUS MINUTES

a) S/4330/18/FL: 48 Old North Road, Longstowe: Mr & Mrs Brown: Erection of carport and close boarded fence. Longstowe Parish Concil requested that this was sent to the Planning Committee. However, LPC were completely ignored and planning permission was granted without any further communication between the Planning Department and LPC. (See letter of 23/01/19!) Clerk to draft a letter of complaint.
b) S/4671/18/FL: 58 Old North Road, Longstowe: Mr Busby: Erection of two storey rear extension and front porch. This has been refused.

94 MEMBERS’ DECLARATION OF INTEREST FOR ITEMS ON THE AGENDA None received.

95 FINANCE

a) A copy of the accounts to date was presented to the Cllrs.

b) Clerk reported that both sections of the S106 payment could be spent on a new disabled toilet in the Village Hall.

96 TO CONSIDER PLANNING APPLICATIONS RECEIVED None received.

97 TO CONSIDER OTHER MATTERS

a) Village Hall: internet connection: Clerk reported that the PC is limited by the lack of address for the VH. Clerk has requested Royal Mail to provide an address.
b) Longstowe website: Clerk reported on research completed. The Cllrs asked the Clerk to place the order.
c) Position of Clerk: advert in next Skylark. Clerk to update the Job Description.

d) Dene Brook: concern over possible blocking by debris. Cllr P White to discuss with landowner.
e) New housing: a follow-up questionnaire to be sent out to be followed by a report at the Parish Open Meeting on 18th April.

98 CORRESPONDENCE RECEIVED

A list of correspondence received is printed in the Agenda which is placed on the notice boards and on the web page prior to the Parish Council meeting; details are available from the Clerk.

a) Greater Cambridge Partnership: Cambourne to Cambridge Better Public

Transport Project: leaflets will be circulated by hand.

99 SKYLARK – TO CONSIDER ANY EDITORIAL ISSUES

a) Box of Winter packs has arrived. These will be hand-delivered.

b) Reciprocal advertising of events with other Parish journals: yes, if space.

c) Bourn School: pleased to support if of relevance and if space.
