Defibrillator: further discussion on siting of a defibrillator in the village. Points to research: where the electricity runs underground through the village; possible use of solar panel for electricity; mobile phone signals at potential defibrillator locations.
Flooding in village: Cllr Hemmins raised the issue of the latest flooding in the village, which occurred around Christmas, near St. John’s Farm. Agreed that another review of all the gullies through the village is needed, as a basis for a further works request.
E-W Rail Local Representatives Group: Cllr Cooper will attend.
Queen’s Jubilee: Possible activities and residents involvement discussed.

Cllr Howell, CCC: Cllr Cooper provided a summary of the report.
Cllr Hawkins, SCDC: highlighted: a) the forthcoming Planning and Drainage Meeting, b) new direct number for SCDC, c) the District covid situation, d) Water Resources East consultation to 28/2/22, e) new business grants from SCDC.
87 MATTERS ARISING/TO REPORT FROM PREVIOUS MINUTES (FOR INFORMATION ONLY) – COUNCIL TO REPORT THE FOLLOWING
a) Neighbourhood Planning: decision to hold an Open Village Meeting on 22nd February 2022 and to form a working group at that meeting.
88 MEMBERS’ DECLARATION OF INTEREST FOR ITEMS ON THE AGENDA
a) Precept 2022-2023 – consultation: as agreed, application has been made for a 10% increase (an additional £525.00).
b) M. Murden: cleaning bus shelters and cleaning products, annual invoice: £135.00. Agreed.

Village Hall update: on-going maintenance continues. Bookings are low. No Afternoon Tea in January. A return of the village fete and jubilee events are being discussed. The S106 monies for village hall improvement (obtained in respect of a planning approval) are available until end Sept 2023. Both amounts, one small and one larger, can be used for disabled toilets redevelopment.
Village Halls week information will be circulated to the VH committee.
